THE BEST APPROACH,STILL

“Ouch, it hurts!”,I screamed after my right hand had been hit by long thick ruler. Ah, what an awful day yet everybody in the class also became her victims-waiting to be punished. The reason? We failed to finish the tasks that she gave to us. Every morning, she will definitely check our exercise books to make sure whether we managed to finish our homework or not. Unfortunately, for those who did not make it, they will get their immediate ‘reward’. Nevertheless, everyone who became her student understood and accepted the law that she implemented in her class and the way she treated us. We knew it is for our own sake.
For two –fascinating-years with her, we had to carry on our back 12 English books to school every single day;it is a must. The story behind those books were-they had their different unique functions. That’s why we had to tiredly bring all the books to school because we used all of them in the class. Sounds weird right? What kind of class that use 12 books at the same time each day for two years? It’s true! E1(English 1) was used as the dictionary, which when we went through an essay, we will find some words that was new to us and we did not know their meaning. Consequently, we had to open the provided dictionary, looking for its true explanation and then listed it in E1. While in E3,the function was for us to draw all stuffs around us such as animals, dishes, places in Malaysia and much more. We had to do it everyday as a homework. She said the reason she made that was to enrich our vocabulary. The most important piece from the 12 ‘brothers’ was the youngest,E12. There, we have to copy and memorize all the essays she prepared for us. At the end of every school day, she will test our memorization and the top scores among us will have sweets from her. On our morning session, we have to recite a song as such we sang the National Anthem. The song is actually the collection of verbs in form of past, present and future tenses. That are the part we really loved because we can remember the tenses in a very relaxing way.
After all the hard works of two years;the class was everyday including weekend and also at night, we all felt relieved and greatful. We get A’s for English in UPSR ;the most hard and essential subject at that time. It is the time to left the school and of course leaving all the memories behind it including our dedicated teacher. She spent most of her time thinking about how to teach and make us understand the subject. She never felt tired to attend the class and gave her full commitment towards us. Even we also have class at her house when she thought that we needed the extra class. Our friends from other class were really envy with us because we have such a great and hardworking ‘sifu’. Her teaching style enabled us to conquer English and it affected us until today;the university phase. Thanks to her for all her endless effort and we prayed that she will find the right path. In fact, there was no significance word to describe her contribution towards us. Indeed, until today, deep in our heart, we still acknowledged her technique was the best approach for us in learning this international language. My highest gratitude to Allah swt for His Mercy towards me in granting me a very momentous experience with her…
